I think my new favorite style of book is fake memoirs that involve dragons.

This was a delightful book which read like an homage to the famous regency or victorian novels yet laced in elements of fantasy as though it was a natural part of the world. The characters were compelling and the story was both cozier than normal high fantasy yet kept me engaged as they researched and solved some of the mystery where they were located.

Just a wonderful little book, I loved it.
