I was super excited for this one after hearing about the legendary Asher Donovan for several books now, and he did not disappoint. Scarlett was also a fantastic FMC and I really enjoyed getting to learn all about her backstory.

The author did a great job at providing valid reasons for conflicts and why these two had to keep their relationship a secret, but the story was a bit long for what it was. While I’m always a fan of slice of life chapters, it felt like this book could have been about 100 pages shorter and accomplished the same thing.

However, that’s my main complaint. Ana’s writing style is one of my favorites and I always enjoy her character-building. I’m excited for the rest of this series.
