Foolish Hearts
by Emma Mills
Pure fun, read on a Saturday afternoon. All of the characters are well-realized, charming but flawed, with great dialogue and believable progression in terms of personal growth and relationship development. I loved that the story wasn't bogged down with sitcom problems (minor misunderstandings that become central narrative conflicts for lack of basic communication), and it felt contemporary without being saturated with specific cultural references.
