It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey

3.0

I definitely was wary about this book at the start, with Piper being very materialistic and surface level, and I think that could also have in part been due to the fact that the pov was always in 3rd person. Her character developed immensely throughout the book which I loved. Also i really liked brendan’s character, however I wish he had more happiness with his wife where he and Piper could still recognize a past love while maneuvering their love. Or honestly, the wife could’ve stayed a girlfriend and that would’ve been less icky. I really enjoyed this read though. Someone told me to avoid Tessa Bailey books and I had been until I was gifted this one - and really liked it!!
