For middle grade book this one is worth the read. It's funny, charming, weird, and also more emotional than expected. The Chapters "The Black Dog Whimpers" and "Alicia's Mom" made me weepy for sure. Other chapters were laigh out loud funny. Honestly, I'd recommend this to any 10 year old without hesitation.
