This was brilliant. I liked all of the stories but there were some in particular that I really loved. The settings and situations are varied but they all feature meet-cutes or couples reuniting. I loved Babalola's writing and it didn't matter that I wasn't familiar with most of the original myths or histories. I often found I was rooting for the characters despite only just meeting them. I think if I'd read it in larger chunks the stories would have blurred into each other but because I read a couple of stories at a time they had room to breathe.
