as someone who hadn’t read a lot of whatever the hell this series is following, the opening of this run is a LOT to take in and it sort of dampened the impact of the story because of that. however, the art in this book is simply gorgeous, featuring my favorite nightcrawler design to date, and the writing is really solid! despite how dense the world is, i think i got the hang of it in time, and it’s absolutely a good read :^)
