I wasn’t upset with this book but also not overly happy with it either. The magic system and world is cool, but I didn’t feel anything had been fleshed out enough. I didn’t feel a connection to the characters, but still held interest in the story. I will still be continuing this series because I’m too curious about the plot and the truth about Aura. I hope Riven does some groveling in this next one because he was a major dick.
