After reading The Deal pretty much in 2 sittings....The Mistake got me a little slumpy..:(

We follow Grace and Logan(as everyone refers to him as). We get to see their initial hook up and after summer vacation, the eventual love story between these two.
As the name implies, in the beginning there is a mistake..in my opinion from both sides, as Logan is still thinking he wants Hannah, his best friend's girlfriend, and as Grace desperately wanted Logan to "help" her lose her virginity...0_0...soo....these people start of somewhat imature for their age.

Trope: second-chance romance

Content Warning: alcoholism; toxic friendships; attempted rape

I really enjoyed the first half of this book, as Grace was decent and I desperately wanted Logan to be happy and move on from his Hannah infatuation. The boredom and lack of interest appeared soon after the mistake was done...it wasn't because of it or anything...i just found myself simply not liking these characters as much as before...not to mention..the constant desire to get it on was...getting to me not in the intended way >..>

We also have another character, Ramona, Grace's best friend, who plays an undefined role..i don't think the author fully thought her out besides : out of control college student with insecurities and a mean streak towards Grace...I admit my interest was once again captured by the book with Ramona's help but this book ended up only ok for me. The whole grand gestures list and everything was mediocre at best and Logan's supposedly horrible future was something he self-imposed...that ending was weak...:(

I still want to see Tucker and his girl, Dean is whatever..not really interested but will try reading his book for completion's sake. I'm not sure what to think about Elle Kennedy as an author..I really enjoy all the hockey parts in her books, the communication between protagonists and the spicy bits are ok/ have purpose..so...i guess i like her...?...>..>

Anyway...if you enjoyed The Deal, don't expect the same from this one, but don't bypass it either...maybe it will be for you...

Enjoy
