This was a cute and cosy read. I feel like this tried to be more than it was by adding sprinkles of political intrigue. But at it's heart it's a story about Christmas (solstice). I didn't like the constant referral to money and the amount they had it was unnecessary in my opinion to keep repeating it. We get it Rhys is well off. But other then that it was nice being back in this world. It was also interesting to see the aftermath of war which you don't normally get in the main part of a series you mainly see which side wins. This gave a view of what happens after.
