Still enjoying these stories. This one wasn’t my favourite but was still worth reading.

I love the pool of recurring characters Aaronovitch has built up. All definitely individuals, beautifully drawn with their own lives outside the books.

The long slow investigation builds up nicely, the action pieces are well done and there were a few surprises, but I did feel that this one was slightly formulaic. The beats are very familiar. Hopefully he shakes things up moving forward.
