Virgin Territory by Lia Riley

1.0

I really wanted to like this and it seemed like it had potential but it honestly wasn't fleshed out enough for me. There were hints of great characterization but I just didn't think Riley put enough into the characters. They were forgettable. Also the plot jarred me when the heroine's ex showed up and was extremely aggravating. There should be content warnings for that. Also, for a yoga instructor... we don't really see the heroine doing any instructing. I thought the relationship definitely needed more time to develop since I couldn't get into the whole thing that quickly. What I liked though is the emphasis on consent even when Patrick would ask to go inside her apartment. But, he does kiss her without asking so... I was conflicted. If he's going to ask if he can go into her apartment, isn't it also natural that he'd ask to KISS her before he does? I kind of lost interest by the second half and dragged myself to the finish line.
