The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

4.0

“Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices… Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?”

This is a deeply meaningful novel, about embracing life and looking objectively at our regrets.

“The only way to learn is to live”
It makes for a great recommendation for it is simple and yet profound, filled with great insights about life and death. The multiverse paradigm is fascinating and Matt Haig's take on it is thought provoking. We travel through episodes of many lives and in the end come back to the one where it all started and see everything with refreshed eyes, with hope and great love for life and the people who make it worth living.

“We only need to be one person.
We only need to feel one existence.
We don't have to do everything in order to be everything, because we are already infinite. While we are alive we always contain a future of multifarious possibility.”
