If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

3.0

Initial reaction:
I honestly can't decide if I love this or hate it.
It's definitely not bad, but do I like it?
I have no idea. Lemme think about it some more.

Thoughts after I cooled down:
As much as I liked the premise and the atmosphere, I feel manipulated. And even a bit misled. Because, what? I feel like Oliver's in the same boat as me. You stupid little boy. You.. you... Agh!!!

Also, not a fan of Shakespeare, so.. you know.

And, idk, that connection those two characters allegedly had wasn't plausible to me. I couldn't feel it, I wanted it to be stronger, I guess, more evident. I wanted it screaming off the page. It just seemed forced, seeing as it was used as a plot twist. Idk, man. I'm picky with my thrillers/murder mysteries/whatever, I guess. I'm sorry.
