On the one hand, reading this book made me think of that semi-viral 1-star review of Pride and Prejudice: "just a bunch of people going to each others houses." On the other hand, there are meaningful philosophical and sociological discussions throughout. I enjoyed myself. I highlighted a lot. Good craft, with a lovely scene towards the end that mirrors the beginning and elaborates on the themes with delicacy.
