I have to admit, I really liked it an awful lot. I definitely recommend it.
I see where my peers are coming from when they comment on the nature of Don's ASD, and how it is used to drive the plot and entertain. However, though I would probably be considered more "higher-functioning" than Don, I could relate to the exact feelings he demonstrated about being incapable of love and, moreover, being unloveable. These are concerns I have myself, and quite honestly I think they are universal. It isn't about curing Autism, it's about realizing that everyone of us has a brain that is mapped differently, and that's something not to be ashamed of, afraid of, or depressed over, but something to celebrate.
So, I liked it. I like Don. And I liked Rosie. And I liked the message.
