Although the writing was good, the story made me lose interest in this series. I just wish she had ended everything in this book. I definitely skipped the last 2-3 chapters because, WTF???
I’m not looking forward to the next book. 3 stars because I enjoyed the beginning, but the story did disappoint. I didn’t feel anything for Ahnna, and her character didn’t grow much. She was worse by the end. She’s the type of character I don’t like. And James! Ugh, how can he act so stupid in the end when I thought he was the only decent person in this book!
Everything went wrong in the end, and you have to read the next book for the main characters to see reason and stop acting stupid. I feel like everything they did that made me skip the ending was unreasonable, and it was put there just for us to go and read the next book. I just hate this. I wanted to love this book, and it was alright until the ending that made everything that happened go to waste.
