You Will Never Be Found by Tove Alsterdal
3.0
The first book of this series, We Know You Remember, was so good I preordered this one. The first book won the prestigious Glass Key and rightfully so. Unfortunately, this book is decent but not as good as the first. The book focused a bit too much on the main character's story arc rather than the case. This could simply be a preference but it felt a bit as though the case was developed to further the main character Eira's storyline rather than the other way around. To me, the most interesting parts of these books are the scenery described in the Scandinavian countries, the crimes themselves, and then how the cases/crimes change the character. I feel as though the case was a bit of an afterthought or a tool to advance the story about Eira and robbed me a bit of the joy that trying to solve a case brings. I would still recommend this book if you enjoyed the first, but set your expectations lower.
