I was afraid of what this book was going to be because I don't love a pining heroine and the amnesia trope however these tropes were done in a way I really enjoyed and well done imo.
While there's a big age gap between Isabella & Luca, it didn't feel like it because Isa was young but smart. I really liked how smart she was. She is strong-minded and she is of value to someone like her husband.
Luca didn't think he would get the wife he did. He thought Isa would be a trophy wife and nothing more but oh boy was he wrong. Luca struggled with the age gap and I understand why but man he was stubborn to not give in to temptation for awhile but Isa wore him down and it was sweet victory for her and for me cuz I was on my limit for how much he would reject his wife advances.
And just when Luca decided to throw caution to the wind, sh!t hit the fan. After that situation I really liked how Luca took his situation and made the best of it but I also loved that he listened to everything Isa had to say and I love learning exactly how smart and in the know she was.
I really loved these two together and I can't wait to continue the series.
