A Picture of Love by Beth Wiseman

5.0

A Picture of Love is a well-written Amish romance by author Beth Wiseman. A Picture of Love is installment #1 in The Amish Inn series.

Esther and Lizzie made a promise to their dying mother that grumpy, elderly Gus Owens would be allowed to live in their cottage until his death. I enjoyed the bantering of Esther and Lizzie who were up in age and widows.

Since Esther and Lizzie couldn’t have children of their own they claimed Naomi Byler as their granddaughter. Naomi’s fiancee’ recently broke up with Naomi for another woman. Eventually, he comes back promising never to leave Naomi again. Naomi has a decision she must make.

Amos, like Naomi, had suffered from a broken heart. Neither wanted to find love again.

A Picture of Love kept my interest so I read it within 2 days. I was laughing at some of the antics and bewildered at other times. There were even times I needed to grab some tissues. I highly recommend A Picture of Love to fans of Amish romance.

I give A Picture of Love 5*/5*

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
