I enjoyed this book much more than I thought. At first I wasn’t sure at how much I like Hollis, but by the end of the end of the book, I loved her. I dislike the way Jameson treated Hollis. I know he is the king, but you don’t take full possession of the children you have together and sell them to another king before even proposing. You just don’t do that! I also didn’t like how he seemed to only value how she looked and that she was better that Queen Valentina. Throughout the book, it made me mad that Jameson took forever to propose, but I’m glad he did because she found true love. I loved Silas! He was so sweet to Hollis. Why did he have to die?! I didn’t like how Hollis’ parents treated her. I liked how Hollis stood up to her parents and the king in telling them what she really wanted. I liked how the Eastoffe’s took Hollis under their wing and took care of her. In the end, this was a really good book. I can’t wait to read the sequel and see what happens next.
