I enjoyed this book until the last few chapters
then I felt like I was blindsided by right wing propaganda. The bad guys ended up being the type that would probably be considered liberal and "forcibly" transed the kid they had kidnapped to keep them hidden. She killed an immigrant mother so that she could kidnap the kid. And the good guy was a recovering addict who had found God. I didn't realize until later that there was some other racist stereotypes as well with the main characters love interest being a man of Hispanic decent who also worked as a landscaper??? Like come on! And then the very ending when the little girl didn't want to even have contact with the "good" guy anymore. The only good part of the book was the pictures. Otherwise I am pissed that I wasted my time with this.
