Behind Every Lie by Christina McDonald

As she is running from her mother’s house, Eva is struck by lightning. Her mother, Kat, is found dead. She was both poisoned AND stabbed. Did Eva do it? She can’t remember because, you know, struck by lightning.
Eva’s fiancé, Liam, helps Eva and hires a lawyer for her. Her brother, Andrew, is suspicious of Eva, as is Detective Jackson.
Eva checks herself out of the hospital, digs around her mom’s house, and conveniently finds a letter Kat wrote to Eva, saying Kat is not actually her daughter. In the envelope, Eva also finds her birth certificate and an address for a man named David in England. So naturally, Eva books a flight to England. Blah blah blah, ends up Eva is actually a girl named Laura that Kat has raised.

Spoiler: 25 years earlier, Kat was married to an awful man named Sebastian. She and Seb has a daughter named Eva. Frumpy Kat met glamorous Rose and her daughter, Laura, who is the same age as Eva. They hit it off and Kat becomes Laura’s nanny. Rose’s husband David wanted Rose to get a nanny because Rose was “medicated for depression”. Oh no! One day Rose and Kat are hanging out, drinking and talking, while the 3 year old girls are playing in the third story. Then Eva falls out the window and dies. Rose is blamed for this because it was her house and she opened the window. But really Kat opened it. Seb wants to kill Rose and Eva, because an eye for an eye. Kat runs out to warn Rose, and they decide to run off together. Rose tells Kat to take Laura, and Rose was going to get money and passports and stuff. But Rose doesn’t return. Kat sees on the news that Rose jumped into the Thames. It is reported that she killed her self and her daughter. Kat and Laura run to America, where Kat starts calling Laura “Eva”.
Flash forward 25 years:
Eva is engaged to Liam. She has a traumatic past that she's keeping from him. She was roofied and raped, and thinking it was her rapist, accidentally attacks her mother. But Liam doesn't know any of this. Except he does bc he's the one who raped her. And has been stalking her until he happened to "meet" her. When Eva goes to England, she finds out she was really Laura. The night of the lightning and murder. Sebastian used Kat's phone to text Eva and get her to the house. Liam, who had a tracker in Eva's purse, follows her there. Kat and Seb are killed, Eva/Laura flees, and gets struck by lightning. Since she doesn't remember anything, Liam uses that to make her question herself and think she was the murderer. Oh, and Rose was really Kat's best friend, fun and vivacious Aunt Lily. And Kat was gay. And Kat saved a random little girl's life and got an award, complete with picture in the paper, which is how Seb tracked Kat down. And Eva/Laura ends up with her neighbor crush, Jacob. It ends with Eva deciding she is going to continue being called Eva, and is going to England to visit David and get to know him, since he's her real dad.

That's about it.

* It was unbelievable that horrible, mean, wife beating Seb, who did not seem to care much about Eva, would hunt down Rose and Kat and Eva 25 years later.
* David's daughter -- Kat/Laura's half sister -- Charlotte reacted really weirdly to meeting her half sister for the first time. She was jealous and rude. I'd think she'd be more shocked.
