Hideaway
by Penelope Douglas
In Hideaway we have Kai's story, and we are introduced to Banks. She is a wildcard Kai met briefly when he was still in highschool and before everything went to s%$# and he went to jail. Now she has become his avenue to get to Damon, however, he doesn't realize her connection.
I really did enjoy this book. It was a fun read. It continues the Horseman's story, their love of the hunt, their love of scaring anyone and everyone, and their paths to find their person.
Banks is a no-nonsense woman with many secrets. I can't go to far into it without spoilers, but I really did like her character. And Kai has been my favorite since book one. All the other loved characters from book 1 were present and accounted for on many levels.
Anyway, the story continues, it was a little bumpy here and there, and a few times I would finish one paragraph and in the next paragraph we would be in a totally new scene (no pauses, just a new paragraph without even a space) so that was a bit frustrating and through me off a number of times taking me out of the story for a minute.
All in all I had fun reading this, so I am still giving it 4 stars.
