I love this, the series, the universe, the magic system. I laughed and I cried. Ending was, of course, beautifully done chaos. The Hero of Ages isn't who I expected, or not in the way I expected.
Above all, I love how Sanderson writes his characters. They are flawed, but they grow and change. Series spans several years and there are few bigger time jumps. Even tho he doesn't always show gradual progress of the characters, their mental state, thinking, you can always understand how they got there.

Elend has one of the best character arcs I've read. He started as an idealistic fool (and I mean that in the best way possible). He ended up as someone with authority, in a position of power. Of course, his democratic utopia failed, so he changed. But he never became cruel. He did some things Elend in the first book would rather die than do. But he always cared for the people, and stood by them, even when all hope was lost just to give them a few moments more.

I didn't expect to enjoy Marsh's POV as much as I did. It's so eerie and creepy. The way he describes horrible things with such joy and awe is amazing.
I just want to mention TenSoon. I wish we got to see more of him.
