One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence

2.0

I didn't particularly like this book, which is odd considering I love both DnD and multiverse theory. Most of it was probably because the main character was so incredibly unlikable. None of the things that were supposed to make him sympathetic really struck true for me, especially not his relationships with his mother or Mia. I much preferred his friends, and would have liked to see them as a neat little trio with perhaps Elton or John as the main characters. Simon was a sweetheart.

All three of them deserved more space, which could have been given to them if Nick hadn't spent so much time being a massive judgemental prick.
