Shadow Angel: Book One
by Leia Stone, Julie Hall
Well dang.....
Another work of Leia Stone that has totally hooked me from the jump. When I first picked this book up, it felt VERY reminiscent to Fallen Academy. It could have been the narrator being the same, or that the story was just very close to each other. Either way, I loved it.
Tatum is a head strong BA young woman that is thrust into a world of the unknown and copes with it fairly well. Yes, at first she was kind of annoying with her processing, but overall I think she handled it very well. Then there is GAGE. The literal man of my dreams written into a character on pages. I have settled with the fact that my love life will most likely only live in the pages of books, but as long as there are characters like him, I am down. Was her a mega douche at first? Yes. I will even say I hated him up until 3 or four chapters from the end. But baby, when he shifted and I fell for him, I FELL FOR HIM.
I love this story. I devoured this with no issues. It was a quick, easy, and overall great read. I will for sure be looking into more of Leia's work as an author, and will now also be diving into Julie Hall's series as well. Love love love.
