Okay, this is it my friends. Take a good look at this beauty. This is how you write a sequel in a romantasy series. This is how you skip the book 2 syndrome with its long chapters of noting and boring tension building for absolute no reason. Nah! The Hunted Heir is how it should be: fast paced, action packed, with just enough world building, just enough twists and betrayals, hints and foreshadowing, lots of groveling and lots of chilly peppers because we’re good people who deserve good things.
My goodness, this hit all the right spots. And I don’t even know who deserves the MVP award because I can’t possibly choose between Verena and Dacre. But also, it’s Dacre.
The cliffhanger at the end of book 1 broke my heart. But this cliffhanger had me screaming: we ride at dawn!
Don’t sleep on this series. I repeat, do not sleep on this series because this is prime fantasy romance.
