Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey

4.0

Fangirl Down is about Wells Whitaker and Josephine Doyle; Wells is a well-known, up and coming golfer who has slowly soured his relationships with the golf world over the years of his career and Josephine Doyle is his number one fan. In an unexpected meeting, Wells and Josephine work together to 1. bring his name back in the world of golf and 2. get Josephine cash for some unexpected run-ins.

This is actually my first Tessa Bailey novel and I did not intend to enjoy it as much as I did. I’m typically not someone who reads romance but this was a novel I couldn’t put down. I didn’t expect to love the Grumpy x Sunshine trope as much as I did but wow, I am definitely a fan of it!

I absolutely love the dynamic both Wells and Josephine share and how both of them balance each other out so harmoniously. Both of them bring out the good in each other, as well as, the banter between the two is hilarious to say the least. Tessa Bailey did not let down whatsoever; I always felt I was being kept on my toes with whatever was thrown at Wells and Josephine. It was such a back and forth kind of novel, it was done amazingly.

I love Fangirl Down, it was a novel that piqued my interest from the moment I came across it and, least to say, I am very pleased with it and definitely will be adding more of Tessa Bailey’s work in my TBR.
