I thought I would enjoy YOU, having watched the Netflix series. However, something about the writing just didn’t do it for me. Maybe because I already know the characters and the story, or maybe because the show articulated Joe’s internal dialogue in a way that doesn’t make it weird to hear. 

Regardless, it just isn’t as good as I thought it would be.
