The plot was good. But the relationship tension was awful. 

This could have been an amazing book if Audra and Zad had been working together instead of constantly lying and working against each other. After she finds out he's fae, why doesn't he come clean and get them on the same page to join forces? Even if we, the readers, didn't necessarily know the whole time, it would have been better. My first hatred was how mad Zad was about the things Audra did. She was absolutely right. She got his wings and outsmarted Ryle. Zad had no right to be so angry, which leads me to the second thing I hated. The plot was over at like 70% in and then we had to spend another 60 pages on them being mad at each other and not knowing how to make up. What the hell was Zad's problem? She forgave him at the end, but I wasn't ready to yet. And then the epilogue - why does it always have to be babies/kids? I wish they had stopped after the one year later part.
