rogue_runner 's review for:
Space Cadet
by Robert A. Heinlein
My first sci-fi! Yes, ever; I've not gotten into the genre before, but on my brother-in-law's insisting, I came home from his house one day with a huge stack of sci-fi books. He told me to read this one first. And I'm glad I did!
Although a few bits went over me (might have been because I tend to daydream a lot), Space Cadet was a nice, short book to get into. I enjoyed how there was no massive overarching plot, for once, and just following a spaceman's daily life, and the world that Heinlein creates was interesting in itself. Finished it this morning, didn't even last five minutes before picking my next sci-fi off my (currently rather packed) bookshelf!
