This was a wonderfully done epilogue for Damien and Nikki - what I really LOVED was that it wasn't all hearts and roses (it would be wildflowers at any rate), and it didn't end as so many trilogies do now with all their dreams coming true (wedded bliss, perfect jobs, kids, etc). In true Damien and Nikki style, things kinda go wrong, Nikki procrastinates creating her stress, and her mom is the ever remaining bitch of all bitches and manages to have on impact on Nikki's wedding. This epilogue/novella, on the whole, is completely reflective of their courtship. Nikki continues to fights her demons and Damien laments the loss faith in those who remind him of his childhood and dreams.
The ending was perfect...with not everything happening as planned, but it happening none the less.
