Six Degrees of Separation by Taylor V. Donovan

Did you read book 1? Good continue. If you didn't STOP RIGHT HERE and read it. You will have absolutely not a clue what is going on if you do not.

Book 2 basically begins where book 1 ends. There are plenty of story lines still chugging along, while Sam and Mac are navigating their "new" normal. The no more rules normal. Thankfully, by the end of the book Sam gets a clue and realizes his feelings for Mac are genuine and strong. Mac on the other hand finally starts to stop holding back some of his more mushy side. I love these two together. Sam is a dick, but he is also so secretly insecure that I just wanna cuddle him up. Mac reads him so well and he knows just how to adjust to play Sam right into his arms. He beats him at his own game.

Killer wise we have a pretty good scoop on who's doing the horrific deeds. It starts to all untangle by the end, but I had so much fun puzzling it out with the rest of Sam's crew. Quite a few other surprises are packed into this book and the characters are all starting to realize how connected they all are. We also get a showdown with Sam and his bitter ex wife Gabby. She really is a detestable character and her actions in this book solidify that.

As I have stated in book 1 review I am super late to this party and it seems book 3 was never released even over 6 years later. There has been some chatter that it may be happening June 2020. I'll keep my fingers crossed because we still have so much to wrap up including actually catching said killer.
