The Brothers Karamazov
by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Took a few hundred pages in for me to get engaged in the story, but once I began to like it, I began to really like it. Wonderful prose, the writing is great and especially during the more intense dialouge scenes. Also very interesting to see what works Dostoyevsky has his characters refrence by name. I'm certainly more excited to read Gogol and The Last of the Mohicans now than I was previously.
