This book follows two Afghan women, Mariam and Laila, whose lives are filled with hardship but also incredible strength. The story is painful at times, but their love and resilience make it beautiful.
The author makes you feel everything. The fear, the hope, the sorrow. By the end, even though my emotions were all over the place, I was felt grateful to have read this. It’s a heavy but unforgettable story.
