The story started off slow, but I understood that it was to lay the groundwork of the story and highlight the beautiful setting of Egypt. I like how all the characters introduced had importance in the story and, just like Inez, it was hard to judge who was truly trustworthy.
Inez is kind, resourceful, strong, and persistent. She's a bit naive, but that naivety shows her kindness and optimism. The ending was fast-paced and had many reveals. It was such a wild ride that I ended up feeling like Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect screaming "ENOUGH! ENOUGH!" when Aubrey puked.
Can't wait for the 2nd book!
