3.0

I think I’m still gonna go with a 4, bc that’s what I was thinking for the majority of the book. The ending, which as I’ve said a million time endings usually leave me rating higher but not this one, has me leaning back towards 3. Maybe 3.5 rounded up then.

“Love triangles” will be the death of me.
This book started out okay, and got better, and continued to get better, until the last idk 20% ish?
Far too much is happening for such a small book. We’ve got cutters in a cult, human beings trapped in the forest nearby used for experimentation, a whole psychopath running special ops, I just.
Tally isn’t as annoying either. She’s got a goal and it does wonders for her internal monologue.
Zane is the only one I’m showing up for after this.
David is far more weak minded than I thought, letting his crazy overbearing mother wreak havoc within himself. At least this one is accurate - so many grown men need their mommies so badly they marry women just like the mothers they grew up with, which is yanno, creepy AF.
I have to keep going, if only to see how Zane is, and maybe to see if Tally beats Shay’s ass.
