I think this book gets 4 stars for nostalgia mostly, but 4 stars none the less. My first time reading it at 29, when the movie is a beloved childhood favorite. To be fair this book with the movie only has about a 15% similarity. But it think it stands on its own. Is it a super deep book? No. Is it accurate as a diary of a 14 year old in the early 2000s, yes
