My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite

5.0

Oh my god! I'll begin with those words as the book simply takes your breath away for being the thriller that it is! It is rightly nominated as a Women's Prize Longlistee for 2019 and I really hope the book wins!

No brownie points for guessing the story being about two sisters, one being a serial killer. Without too many spoilers, Koyede and Ayoola share a weird and platonic sort of sisterhood. They have been through too much that they can't give up on each other that easily. Even after, Koyede figuring how her younger sister is slowly turning into a sociopath.

It's wonderful with its dark humour and some brilliant one-liners which literally takes your breath away. Take all the stars possible and it's an absolute recommendation from my end.
