Loveless by Alice Oseman

5.0

I don't know if there are still words that I can use to describe Alice Oseman's books and the impact they have on my life.

Knowing the characters in this book, being with them through each discovery, each insecurity overcome and through each new step in their relationships, was one of the best things that happened to me this year. I really believe that Alice has an incredible ability to create characters and make them real and relatable. I love how even the strangest and grandest things that happen in her stories are things that I could easily see myself doing.

Georgia was a character who spoke to me a lot on several levels. I felt her doubts and pains and cried many times remembering things that happened to me for which I had no answer. But now I did. It was right there. Written. In front of me.

I am so happy that now people have the opportunity to have contact with books like this one, who speak of important matters with sensitivity and responsibility and bring such unique characters with an representativeness that is not forced AT ALL.

The friendship between Georgia, Pip, Jason, Rooney and Sunil it was something that won me over and made my heart warm. I even dreamed of myself having pizza nights with them. I wish it could be real.

Every time I finish a book written by Alice I think "this is my favorite book" and this time it was no different. Loveless kept me up for hours thinking about all the subjects that are discussed, made me smile, laugh, cry and understand a little more about myself. And for that I will be forever grateful.

PS: I literally SCREAMED when Georgia talked about Jimmy and Rowan's fanfics and also when she went to listen to Universe City on YouTube.
