I think this is the first time I've ever read a sequel to a book I foun kind of boring and predictable and I'm so glad I did. the ending of the first book was literally the only reason I decided to give this one a go (since I found the whole thing except the end just very predictable) an this one could not be more different! I really liked the way the narration flipped between the wilds and the valid world and the story line was much more interesting and faster paced than the first book. I really liked the fact that raven, as a woman, occupies the hardened leader role that usually is taken by men and I was intrigued by the people living underground (I kind of was rooting for Lena just to stay there and be happy). Can't wait to read the third book now!
