Far too many character perspectives when I think the story would have benefited from focusing on the main 3 characters or being a longer book built on the intersections of their lives. 

Some parts were heartbreaking but I found myself skipping over sections to keep up on the storylines I felt moat attached to. 

but that was the thing with words: you only knew they were the wrong ones once you'd already said them, and by that time it was too late.
