Kleypas does it again! This was sexy, heartwarming, and beautifully written. Did I mention sexy? And the yearning was really top notch.
The couple things I struggled with was Bronson’s likeability - dude was literally bragging about his sexual exploits to Holly and I don’t find that kind of thing endearing.
Also, my suspension of reality was tested at the idea that a blue blood like Holly would agree to live with a man she didn’t know - and bring her daughter along! The politics of the time, it would be outrageously scandalous and I wasn’t convinced that Holly would make that choice even if she was bored and wanted money for Rose.
But overall I enjoyed this! The last 20% or so of the book was incredibly touching and that really helped cement my love for this couple (as well as the secondary characters). Kleypas continues to weave a masterfully sensual tale and I am eating good.
