I was really excited to read this as I’ve heard it praised and it has been recommended to me multiple times. The beginning was enjoyable and I was very into the plot, but as the story progressed, I found myself becoming less and less interested. I think the idea behind the book is very interesting, I just didn’t enjoy the execution very much. The writing was repetitive (repeated phrases, words, syntax, etc. in the spam of a few pages & throughout the book) and didn’t make much sense at certain points. I also felt very little differentiation in the characters and the description the author gave them didn’t fit their realized characterization at all. I enjoyed the larger themes of the book but, again, didn’t think the portrayal hit very hard or made me think the author was doing something original. The ending was good, and I probably will still read the next book as I want to finish the story.

Also, were all the sexbots necessary??
