Carlos Slim: The Power, Money, and Morality of One of the World's Richest Men by Diego Enrique Osorno

challenging informative mysterious reflective slow-paced

3.0

Slim's obscurity-not many people know that he is the 12th richest person in the world-makes this biographical interview a tedious read. Unless you are a Slimophile (no puns intended), you will be better off giving this one a miss.

Osorno weaves an intricate though belaboured account of Slim's meteoric rise and cataclysmic expansion in Latin America as magnate no. 1 alongside his family's shady though equally impressive financial conquests.

Overall, I found Slim's reading list and business advise informative. Otherwise Osorno bored me to death. Three stars because while it isn't my cup of tea, it still gave me what I feel to be crucial business advise.
