the winter vibes in this book are immaculate. so much snow, hot chocolate, and storytelling. as for the actual plot, it's just ok. this was a re-read for me and really the only thing I remembered about it was the twist of

meddy being a ghost

and honestly I find this part kind of annoying along with the random love triangle that isn't really necessary. overall an adoreable mystery that I would def recommend to kids in 5-7 grade.
