Out On a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young
5.0
Ok, I'll start off by saying this book really did surprise me. It was so adorable and cute with the romance, idk if I went into this book with expectations but I found myself smiling AT MY KINDLE for 98% of this read.
I do have gripes with this book, though not enough to really push it out of the 5 star category for me. The first problem was that Bo never really had any flaws, he didn't create issues that they as a couple had to work through. He literally was a dream man and literally perfect in all ways.
The second issue I have is that the book VERY HEAVILY implied that to have a fulfilling, happy, complete life you need to have children. At least that was my personal take away from it, and as someone who has intentionally chosen to be child-free I obviously do not agree.
I do give the author credit for never really making me see the characters as "less" for having disabilities and in the end I didn't even think anything of it other than that was just how they were. The book really focused more on the characters growing into themselves and finding a way to complete their life without really drama in regards to their relationship which I found interesting for a romance book.
It's a 5/5 stars for me though, this book had me crying, had me laughing, had me enjoying the loving spice scenes. I'm so glad to have come across this book and will totally read anything this author writes.
