Bandit: A Daughter's Memoir by Molly Brodak
5.0

An absolutely harrowing book about the relationship between a selfish and out of control parent and the child who watches from the sideline of adolescence as his narcissism consumes him. The book is full of moving lines and stomach churning scenes of pain, embarrassment, and frustration. It can make your blood boil. Somehow the book, like Jeanette Walls' Glass Castle, makes you root for these people to get it together, be good to one another and find some semblance of peace and happiness.
