I can summarize this book in two individual words: food, and sex.

I did really appreciate the mid-book coming out, the question of pronouns, and the switch to using those pronouns through the rest of the book. It was such a small thing that meant so much, and as someone that has gone by different names and pronouns, it shows that it doesnt actually have to be difficult for friends and family members to adapt to, they just have to want to.

I appreciated the growth of the characters throughout. The assumptions, the miscommunication, the clarifying, the admissions, and the beauty of wanting to protect the one you love from yourself and then realizing that love is inherently messy and dangerous but good and meaningful.
